What equipment will I need if I wish to become a beginning ghost hunter?

I know about video taps/cameras
I know about recorders for evp’s
I know about night vision for cameras, etc
I need to know where I can get the thin, the heat sensor, you know to measure the heat, i.e. blue = cool, red = hot, etc. I also need the thing to measure the atomosphere’s electromatic level. What else would I need, what about computer software to analyze the data? Thanks.
Please, my question is serious, so I expect serious answers!

First of all, talk to Egan Spanglar or Dr. Peter Vankman. They are giants in that industry. They will tell you where to find things such as proton packs, traps, ectoplasmic containment fields — the works. Dr. Spanglar also makes a ectoplasmic spectromitor which has been shown to detect spirits that are trapped in our dimension.

There are 2 types of EMF (Electromagnetic Fields). The AC type is generated by man-made sources such as power lines, generators, appliances and so on. The DC type is generated from natural sources such as our own bodies, static, lightening and solar activity.

Most of the ghost hunters that I see on TV are apparently ignorant of how these meters work because they are seen waving them about as they walk around. The meters work best when kept still or moved very carefully and slowly. If you use these meters yourself, read the instructions carefully or you will get false readings which is what I see them doing on TV most of the time.
Thermal Imaging cameras (FLIR) like the ones you see used on Ghost Hunters run about $9000. The one I have and highly recommend is……..yeah, right – like I’ve got THAT kind of green! I can’t afford one. But you may look into renting one a lot cheaper.

For starters I wouldn’t invest heavily on some items until you have been on a few investigations. Some people buy tons of equipment and spend most of the time trying to figure out how they work, or find they don’t have enough time to go on investigations.
For your first investigation I would suggest bringing >digital camera (point and shoot) >camcorder that offers infrared (night vision-Sony preferred) > voice recorder to capture evp (electronic voice phenomenon).
These are items most people already have on hand.
After you have been on a few investigations, and feel this is your gig, then I would think about purchasing additional equipment, such as; EMF readers, motion sensors, etc…

Believe this or not your bible will come in handy also.. As well as a book on how to preform an exorcism…. And you will need to be well trained…. And I can not express that enough… For your 6th sense will come in handy but there are real paranormal creatures out there that can render your 6th sense a mute point…. You will also have to learn how to shoot both a pistole and a rifle… Now I know that a fire arm can’t harm a spirit or a demon, But there are creatures out that than can be stopped with a well aimed shot…. You also will need a sharp sword… For future hunts that will pop up out of no where… Now there will be many people out there that will tell you that a many creature out there don’t exist well you will find out how wrong they really are…… Also always remember this there is no such thing as a friendly spirit… No matter what they may communicate with you… They all want something, that will cost you more then you are willing to pay…. Also remember that you can not communicate with the dead.. And remember that demons can disguised themselves as the recent or ancient dead…. A cross and holy water are totally useless… But I would like you to attend several exorcism, Until you can learn how to preform one on your own… Just in case you ever become the the one that is hunted or haunted……… Also read your bible until you learn how to bind a spirit……….. The last thing is never, never underestimate a demon itelligence for they have the knowledge of all the ageses….
